Trollveggen Pro Shell wins SOA award
The new Norrøna trollveggen Gore-Tex Pro Shell jacket has received the Scandinavian Outdoor Award, Apparel Category, for Winter 2010/11:
Our trollveggen concept has been trusted as workwear in big mountain walls for thirty years. The redesigned Gore-Tex Pro Shell jacket and pants have been getting a lot of attention even before it's coming release this fall. The lightweight yet durable jacket with an innovative use of YKK Aquaseal 100% waterproof zippers has received both the prestigius Red Dot Award and the SOG award, as well as the Designpreis Deutschland 2011.
At the first winter ascent of Trollveggen’s Swedish Route took place in 1980, the three young climbers Hans Christian Doseth, Håvard Nesheim and Kjetil Svanemyr wore the first edition of Norrøna’s trollveggen jacket and bib pants. Since then, trollveggen climbing jackets and pants have been part of innumerable -expeditions, like the Norwegian Route up Great Trango Tower and the first Norwegian conquest of Mount Everest.
The trollveggen concept has become a standard for climbers and mountaineers in Norway and abroad over these years, and we are very excited about the new products that will be available at Norrøna dealers fall 2010.
